What are motion graphics templates?
Motion graphics templates are pre-built animated video assets you drop onto a timeline — the animated name tags in interviews, the title cards at the start of a video, the callouts that point at something on screen. Traditional template packs ship as project files locked to one editor (After Effects, Premiere). These are generated as motion-graphics CODE, which is why the same template can be re-rendered at any resolution, restyled with a different design system, or handed to an AI assistant to fill in for you.
How to use a template
- Browse the gallery by category, or open a template to watch the full animation.
- Download the preview MP4 straight from the gallery, or open the template in the free Mographr studio to make it yours.
- In the studio: change the text, colors and design system, adjust the timing, then export MP4 — or ProRes 4444 / WebM with a transparent background.
- Need something that is not in the library? Describe it in a sentence and the studio generates a new animation for you.

Frequently asked questions
Are these motion graphics templates really free?
Yes. Browsing the gallery and downloading template previews costs nothing and needs no account. Opening a template in the Mographr studio — where you change the text, colors and design and export your own version — is free too on the Free plan; paid plans lift the export and credit limits.
What software do I need?
None. Templates render in the browser and download as ordinary video files, so they drop straight into Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut or any editor that accepts MP4 — no After Effects, no plugins.
Do the templates support a transparent background (alpha channel)?
Yes — in the studio you can export ProRes 4444 or WebM with a real alpha channel, so a lower third or callout drops over your footage with no black box. Gallery previews themselves are MP4 with a solid background.
Can I customize the text and colors?
That is the point of the library. Every template is generated animation code, so the studio lets you retype every line, swap the palette or apply a whole different design system, retime the animation and re-render. For the most common assets there are also one-click browser tools that skip the studio entirely.
Can I use them in commercial projects?
Per our Terms, you own the animations Mographr generates for you, including a gallery template you reopen and re-render as your own project. Because these are AI-generated, we make no promise that any output is protectable by copyright or free of third-party claims — read the Terms before you build a brand around one.
Do you have vertical templates for Reels, Shorts and TikTok?
Yes. Templates are re-rendered at whatever canvas you pick, and several tools ship dedicated vertical 1080x1920 designs alongside the 16:9 ones.
Where do the templates come from?
Each one was generated by the Mographr AI studio and published to the community gallery — many by us, some by users who chose to share their work publicly.
Can an AI assistant use this gallery?
Yes. There is a plain-markdown index of the whole library at https://www.mographr.com/motion-graphics-templates.md, a site guide at https://www.mographr.com/llms.txt, and an MCP server (https://bff.mographr.com/mcp) whose tools render customized videos and hand back an MP4.
